“Peel’d II” is the third installment in a slowly evolving winter solstice series.

“Peel’d II” consists of 3 guitar improvs, 1 piano improv and 1 field recording, all captured in real time via the iPhone Voice Memos app. Additionally, there's one little composed piece, entitled "Lake 6".

Lake 6 is a very small, off-trail alpine lake in the Inyo National Forest Wilderness in California. The cover photo was taken there earlier this year, while endlessly gazing into the timeless, granite mass that is the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Staring into all that rock is kind of like staring into the long, dark night at equinox. Endlessly recursive and forever pointing inward. A greatness beyond all possibilities of measurement, calculation or imitation. This is the colossal feeling I'm hoping to express to you in this tiny piece. I hope you can connect.
