A special one-off in honor of the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. Intended listening for gazing into deep darkness and pondering the infinite unknown. I wrote this piece on August 25, 2010 while on a ferry crossing the North Sea. Tell me, what does a dark blue-gray expanse of blurred horizon have in common with the spill of stars we call the Milky Way? And do you see emptiness as absence or as open space? Please have a think on it while listening and let me know what you come up with. Alternatively, feel free to think on nothing while listening too.
